Digital Northumberland is based on first come first served basis based on available funds. Applications are reviewed for eligibility. Upon application submission you will receive an automated email confirming your application has been sent/received.
Digital Main St. Program
Businesses located in the area of:
- Campbellford DBIA district: Jenn Hudson, Digital Mainstreet
- Municipality of Port Hope (Peter Street only) AND Port Hope HBIA district: Elizabeth Edwards, Business Outreach Coordinator, Municipality of Port Hope
- Town of Cobourg (DBIA district only): Melissa Graham, Small Business Facilitator, Town of Cobourg
- Municipality of Brighton (Downtown Core only): Ben Hagerman, Manager of Economic Development & Communications, Municipality of Brighton
Business eligibility
- Small existing business (Open/operating at the time of application)
- 1–10 employees (or fewer than 25 if café, restaurant or bar)
- NOT a not-for-profit / charitable organization

Digital Footprint 2020 Program
Businesses located in the area of:
All other Northumberland businesses and tourism businesses located OUTSIDE of the Digital Mainstreet boundary jurisdictions (see chart to the left). *If you are unsure, please contact the BECN for information.
Business eligibility
- Small existing business (Operating business for 18 months+)
- Businesses who have had digital work completed from June 1, 2020 until the present, may be considered for subsidy (Must show completed and paid invoice)
- For Tourism sectors in the category of: Accommodation, performing arts, art/artist or artisan, festivals, heritage, area attractions, agri-tourism, restaurant/dining, specialty shopping/retail, outdoor adventure experiences, spa/retreats.

Financial Support: Yes (Subsidy). NOTE: Subsidy may not be used for; digital equipment, social media advertisements/boost posts, consultation fees, web hosting fees or staff wages etc. Examples of subsidy use can be; website upgrade, e-commerce, social media management, business photography / videography.
Amount: $2,500 (up to). NOTE: Approved applicant remits payment to digital provider first, subsidy is then provided upon proof of payment.
Digital Squad: Yes. Financial support, education, digital mentorship.
