The Northumberland Tourism Business Directory is a powerful resource that brings together the attractions, products and services available in the County. This resource provides visitors and residents with an easy tool that helps them find everything they're looking for while they are here. Currently there are more than 750 businesses listed in this directory.
Listing your business in the directory is FREE. The listing will help expand your reach, widen your audience and raise your profile in search engines. Include images that reflect the exterior, interior, products and/or services for your business so that potential consumers know at a glance what they can expect. Be sure to add your social media information as well as your website and any other ways to contact you. Use the Products & Services field to outline what you offer in detail, along with any key items that differentiate your business (accessibility, accepting credit cards, bike-friendly, curb side pick up, take-out, etc.).

How to Create a New Listing |
NOTE: Please search the business directory first to ensure you do not already have a listing.
To search, please enter your business name into the Business Name field at the link below. Do not put in any other information. If your listing does not show in the search results, proceed with the directions below to create a new listing.
Getting Started
- Go to: https://directory.northumberlandtourism.com/
- Tap on “Register”
- Click on “Register” again (under “If you do not already have a business entry within the system”)
Business Information
- Enter the appropriate information for your business. Note that all fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
- Images and logos can be entered by tapping on “Choose File” under “Logo” and “Add New Image”. Note that a “Logo” can be an image, the file entered as a logo will be the one that appears as the first image on your listing. Please upload horizontal images that are a maximum of 565 pixels wide.
- The “Products and Services” section is mandatory. Please include a list or description of the products and services offered as well as any differentiating factors for your business (ie, wheelchair accessible, curbside pickup, bike-friendly, bike racks, takeout, etc). This description will show to the general public so please double-check for grammar and general accuracy.
Address, Contact & Company Information
- Address information and contact information can be hidden from the public if you prefer. Click “Yes” or “No” at the bottom of the section in response to the question, “Display my address to the public?”
- You do not need to enter the latitude and longitude of your business, this will be pulled automatically from Google Maps. If there is an error, you can edit by dragging and dropping a map pin from Google to match the exact location.
- The email address is mandatory. Please use the same email address as you used to login to avoid login confusion in the future. A different email address can be used under Business Information if you’d like a more generic email address shown to the public.
- Under Company Description, please provide an outline of your business that reflects all activities, products and services that you offer. This information will not be shown to the public but helps Northumberland Tourism determine the type and category of business you are operating.
- The remaining information requested is used for improved searchability and data gathering purposes. Fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. When entering keywords, please use commas to separate key words and phrases.
Click submit when all steps are completed.
You will receive an email to confirm that we’ve received your submission and will be reviewing it before it goes live on the website/business directory. Please allow 3-5 days for this process. You will receive another email when your submission has been approved.

How to Edit an Existing Listing |
Getting Started
- Go to: https://directory.northumberlandtourism.com/
- Search for your business name to ensure you are in the directory. Do this by entering your business name in the “Business Name” field. Do not enter any other information at this time.
- Once you have determined that you do have an existing listing, click on “Login”.
- Enter your email address and password if you have received one. If you do not know your password or haven’t edited your listing in the directory since May 2021, please use the “Forgot Your Password” link. Enter your email address again and hit submit, an email will be sent to you with a reset link and instructions. **NOTE: If you get a message saying your email address does not exist, but you do have a business directory listing, please email johnsona@northumberland.ca with your business name. We will set up the first-time login information for you.
- Once your password has been reset, go back to the login screen to login as normal. You should be taken to a window that shows “Business Directory Entry Administration” with your business listing below in blue. Click on that blue link to edit the listing.
- Edit information as required. Note that required fields are marked with an * and this will include a contact name and email address.
