Northumberland County Archives and Museum

NCAM logoNCAM collects, cares for and provides access to archival materials and artefacts that represent the stories of the people, places and development of Northumberland.

Our facility will be temporarily closed to the public from February 22 – fall 2025 as we prepare for the move to our new location later this year.

Our future location

Digital rendering of new NCAM space, with reading room and exhibition gallery

In fall 2025, the Northumberland County Archives and Museum (NCAM) facility will be moving to a new location as part of an innovative pairing with the County's long-term care facility, the Golden Plough Lodge. The new space will include:

  • an expanded reading room for research
  • programming space for exhibitions and community groups
  • Category A standard collection storage
  • a conservation lab

This new facility will be a big step forward for NCAM as we continue to enhance community well-being, while embracing a fresh new look for a sustainable future.
