Services and Fees

There is no cost to do independent research at the Northumberland County Archives and Museum. However, there are fees for extended research assistance, reproductions and use of images for publication.

Research assistance

We work with all of our patrons to help navigate and interpret the Archives and Museum's holdings.

If you are unable to visit the Archives and Museum in person, we can provide distance research assistance services at a cost of $30 per hour for up to 3 hours. Please fill out our Research Request form to get started.

What to expect

When you arrive, we will review your research request with you. We assess what we have in our collection relevant to your inquiry, retrieve materials from storage for you and demonstrate proper handling techniques.

Though we cannot do the research for you, we are here to answer your questions and provide access to materials. There is no fee to conduct your research independently at NCAM. If you are unable to continue researching in person, we are available to help with your research at a cost of $30 per hour.
