I feel unsafe in my apartment. What can I do? 

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you feel unsafe in your apartment and need to leave, you can call Transition House at 905-376-9562. Women and families experiencing domestic violence can contact Cornerstone at 905-372-0746.

Can I still go to a shelter if I'm on social assistance? 

Yes, you can access shelter services in Northumberland whether you are on social assistance or not. If you need temporary housing or shelter there are several agencies that could help.
