Our Approach

Northumberland County is a community that thrives on its ability to build relationships between agencies to serve the people who access our services looking for help.

In the last five years, local agencies decided to make a more intensive effort to work together to create a better system of supports to help someone in need of assistance rather than that person having to go from agency to agency, constantly retelling their story. While this system is a work in progress, we have joined campaigns like Built For Zero – Canada to help us work through how we can best come together to design something that works in our community. We are collecting data to be able to use in any applications for funding opportunities, both federally and provincially, which we can use to build an even stronger support network to help people who are looking for support.
