Cobourg, ON – May 8, 2025 – In honour of National Public Works Week, Northumberland County is launching a fun, county-wide contest that invites residents to get up close with one of our snowplows and celebrate the vital work of Public Works staff.

Starting Monday, May 12th, a County snowplow will be touring through each member municipality, making a one-day stop in each community. The plow will be on-site from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on scheduled days between May 12th and May 22nd, offering community members the perfect opportunity to stop by and snap a selfie to take part in the celebration.

Residents can upload their photos using the online form available at Northumberland.ca/PWW. Each submission provides one entry into a draw for the chance to win a ‘Northumberlanding’ package for two – an exciting local tourism experience highlighting the best our region has to offer.
