County releases 2020 Annual Report

2020 Annual Financial Plan coverCobourg, ON – July 21, 2021 – Northumberland County has today released its 2020 Annual Report, highlighting key accomplishments delivered in fulfill­ment of Council’s Strategic Plan. This report details the County’s strong fiscal position as captured in audited financial statements for the year ending De­cember 31, 2020.

“The County’s Annual Report outlines the allocation of budget dollars to pro­gram and service delivery, infrastructure maintenance and renewal, debt ser­vicing and reserves,” states CAO Jennifer Moore. “As with all municipalities, the County took on new and unexpected challenges in 2020 in response to the emergence of COVID-19. Reflected in these pages are our efforts to adapt our operations to ensure ongoing delivery of essential services during this time, while also fulfilling key commitments outlined in our 2020 and long-term business plans. The Annual Report remains an important tool for ensuring transparency and accountability of our operations to the residents and busi­nesses we serve.”
