Northumberland County ambulance involved in HWY 401 collision

Cobourg, ON – January 25, 2014 – Northumberland Paramedics reports that at approximately 10:50 this morning, an ambulance and crew were involved in a multi-vehicle collision in the east-bound lanes of highway 401, east of County Road 28 near Port Hope. Only minor injuries were reported from all parties involved in this collision.

Paramedics were transporting a patient to Northumberland Hills Hospital for assessment at the time of the accident. There were no injuries to the patient or crew, and the ambulance sustained only minor damage. The crew was able to provide support at the scene of the accident, and transported an additional two patients with minor injuries to the hospital.

Northumberland Paramedics is taking this opportunity to remind drivers to use significant caution on the roads, with inclement weather continuing to create hazardous conditions.
