The EOWC group includes eleven Eastern Ontario counties and two single-tier municipalities that work in conjunction with the provincial and federal governments to promote the Eastern Ontario region. 2024 - 2027 Strategic Plan
The EOWC has released its 2024 – 2027 Strategic Plan. Through collaboration and consolidated feedback among representatives of its member municipalities, the EOWC identified three strategic priorities that will guide its decision-making and advocacy focus for the next three years:
Infrastructure
The EOWC will partner with both the federal and provincial governments and appropriate allies to invest in municipal infrastructure that provides predictable, fair, evidence-based funding to allow municipalities to plan and create economic environments that foster growth.
Housing
The EOWC is committed to partnering with both the Federal and Ontario Governments and other housing providers and champions to continue to advocate for alternative funding to assist Eastern Ontario municipalities to plan and develop housing and related infrastructure.
Health Care
The EOWC will continue to develop ways for municipal input into provincial health policy and decision-making to help improve health outcomes across Ontario.
