Off-Road Motorcycling
The Northumberland County Forest offers a trail riding experience for off-road motorcyclists. Off-road motorcycles can use a mix of roads and single track trails in the forest.

Rules
- Trails are closed annually to off-road motorcyclists from November 1 to May 15 each year.
- Off-road motorcyclists must have an Ontario Federation of Trail Riders membership to use the forest trails.
- The local club for the OFTR is Northumberland Trail Riders.
- Riders must be plated, insured and comply with all applicable provincial and municipal laws such as the Off-Road Vehicles Act and the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand ATV By-Law 64-2008.
- Respect private property.
- Respect other users.
- When encountering horseback riders, shut off your engine, remove your helmet and ask the rider for future direction.
- Do not litter.
- Do not have campfires.
- Comply with all application laws and by-laws.
The Northumberland O.P.P. and municipal by-law enforcement officers patrol the Northumberland County Forest.
