Community Recycling Centres
Beginning July 2nd, Proof of Residency will be required at all Community Recycling Centres.
Our community has three Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) for disposal of waste and recycling. Residents of Northumberland County may use any of our three CRCs to dispose of items such as household garbage, bulky waste items and recyclable materials.
Dumping trailers are accepted at Brighton CRC only. Bewdley and Seymour CRCs operate as waste transfer stations and cannot accommodate trailer dumping.
The Hope Transfer Station is only available for use by residents of the Port Hope Rural Ward.
These facilities accept payment by debit and credit only.

The CRC in Brighton is also home to the County's only landfill. All household garbage collected curbside comes to this landfill. Proof of Residency
When visiting a CRC to dispose of waste or recycling, individuals will need to bring proof of a local residence or business address within Northumberland County .

Hope Transfer Station
The Hope Transfer Station is owned and operated by the Municipality of Port Hope and is available to Port Hope Rural Ward residents only.

Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
