Waste and recycling collection

We collect garbage, organics, and recycling weekly in Northumberland County, with the exception of the rural ward of Port Hope.

Holiday collection delays

Statutory Holidays that will bump collection days to the following day unless posted otherwise:

  • New Year's Day
  • Family day
  • Victoria Day
  • Canada Day
  • Civic Holiday
  • Labour Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • Boxing Day

Please note that the Christmas and Boxing Day bump collection will be observed the week of Dec. 27th, 2021
